I am a Wellington based artist, illustrator and designer with a background in art, fashion and graphic design. After graduating with a Bachelor in Design, I have since worked in Print gaining graphic design and letterpress printing knowledge.

While working in this field I pursued my passion in fine art through personal projects and private commission work - over the years I have sold pieces through various cafes and markets.

Since launching Eclectic Design at Valley Print, my art is now available to purchase online at www.valleyprint.co.nz/eclectic-art or at www.eclecticdesignhouse.co.nz.

As seen throughout my works - my art is very experimental in terms of both style and technique and ranges from acrylic paintings to intricate line drawings. My pieces explore different themes including urban street art, fashion illustration, art deco and retro atomic. I love to work with mixed media such as indian ink, gouache, acrylic paints and spray paint. I often work on plywood and beautiful cotton paper stocks as I love the way texture is created. All my digital art is produced through vectoring and printed on archival inkjet paper which brings the colours to life.

My colour pallets range from muted to vibrant tones including metallics and opalescent shades. In terms of scale, my original pieces are often painted at a large scale (A2 size) and my ink art is scaled much smaller.

During lock down I experimented with a new style and created my quirky series of pin up babes, these were later exhibited and featured at Origin Cafe in Petone. The artworks and merchandise were displayed and sold at the cafe. A mural of one of my women was the main feature wall which created a very tropical vintage vibe to the space.

What inspires my art?…so many wonderful things but mainly music, travel and the people in my life and my colour pallets are inspired from my love of nature.
